Pre-cut melons from Walmart, including in fruit salads, are the likely source of a multi-state breakout of Salmonella, the U.S. Centers for Disease and Prevention reported Friday afternoon.
CDC reported 60 cases of Salmonella in five states—Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio.
In Illinois, there have been six cases, said the Illinois Department of Public Health.
“There have been no cases in McLean County that I’m aware of,” said Lisa Slater of the McLean County Health
