Kroger Recalls ‘Comforts For Baby’ Water Due to Mold Contamination

The Kroger grocery store chain issued a recall for its line of purified water for babies after receiving complaints of mold in the product, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said Monday.

The gallon size of “Comforts For Baby purified water with fluoride” tested positive for Talaromyces penicillium, a mold known to cause systemic mycosis, a fungal infection that affects the internal organs.
